Applications which are dealt with under the Premium Service facility will be resolved within 48 hours of receipt of the application from the Visa Application Centre. Applicants will need to meet the eligibility criteria laid out below. Original documents should be included with all applications along with good quality photocopies of the original documents. Please note Premium Service extends to applications for Visit Visas only.
The criteria for Premium Service:
1.
An applicant who has travelled previously to the United Kingdom and has
evidence of this travel and has not been refused a visa since the travel.
Evidence can be a 1 or 2, 5 or 10 year visit visa, or two or more six month
visit visas.
2.
An applicant who has travelled and complied with the terms of
their visa on two separate occasions within the last 5 years, in the same
category as they are now applying, to any of the following: USA, Canada,
Australia, a Schengen country or Switzerland and has evidence of this travel
and has not been refused a visa since their travel.
3.
An applicant aged 60 years or over who is visiting mother, father, sister,
brother, son/daughter or grandson/daughter in the UK.
4.
A diplomat in the Ghanaian Foreign Service or in a diplomat mission in Ghana .
An official note from the MFA or appropriate mission is required.
5.
If travelling on official Government of Ghana business (spouse and children may
also apply). A letter from the MFA or relevant Government department is
required.
6.
Dependent children, under 18 years of age, who are travelling with a parent who
meets the Premium Service criteria (or who already holds a long term multiple
entry visa for the United Kingdom ). Unaccompanied children are not eligible
for Premium Service.
7.
Spouses who are travelling with their partner when the partner meets the
Premium Service criteria. If travelling alone, a spouse must meet the criteria
in his or her own right.
8.
Employees of Organisations enrolled in the Business Express Scheme.
Original documents should be included with all applications including good
quality photocopies of the original documents.

Premium Service collection timings: Premium Service collection timings: Applicants who lodge their applications under Premium Service Criteria can collect their decisions between 1500hrs-1600hrs on the date stated on the receipts.
Other Services:
Services provided at the VFS office include enquiries, banking, a photograph
booth and photocopying. A charge is levied for photocopying (60 Pesewas per
page) and for passport photographs (4 GHC for a set of four).
Priority is given to applicants with disabilities, the
elderly, and young children.
The VFS office premises, biometrics booth and toilets have wheelchair access.
As a policy of VFS, and to ensure the security of the
premises, visitors and staff, we do not allow visa applicants to bring their
bags inside the VAC. However, we have installed a separate counter at the
entrance where bags may be left securely . The applicants are requested to make
use of this facility
