The visa section in the British High Commission will only see applicants in person at the High Commission by prior arrangement, as we no longer operate a public enquiry desk. If you feel your query cannot be answered by VFS or by checking the UKBA/VFS websites please contact the above email address regarding making a request for an appointment at the HC. Your request will be considered and a reply sent to you as soon as is possible however unfortunately requests will only be granted in exceptional circumstances.

Security Information

  Due to security reasons the following items will not be permitted inside the visa application centre or stored in the premises. Other items may be prohibited based on security staff discretion.

1. All battery operated or electronic gadgets such as cameras, audio/video cassettes, compact discs, MP3's, floppies, laptops, or portable music players.
2. All bags such as travel bags, back packs, briefcases, suitcases, leather, jute or cloth bags and zip folders. Only a plastic bag containing your application related papers would be permitted.
3. Sealed envelopes or packages.
4. Any inflammable item such as matchboxes/ lighters/ fuel etc.
5. Any sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives or nail filers.
6. Weapon or weapon like objects or explosive material of any kind.

Please note:There are no facilities at the visa application centre to store prohibited items. Applicants should make alternative arrangements to store their belongings.

Only applicants will be admitted to the visa application centre - with the exception of children who should be accompanied by a responsible adult; carers of disabled applicants and interpreters for the hearing-impaired.

Data Protection Act

  The Data Protection Act prevents the UK Border Agency and VFS from providing information about a visa application to anybody other than the individual visa applicant or their authorised representative.
